This course will teach Value Methodology within the universal context of the “project” and will utilize the framework and terminology identified in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) – Sixth Edition.

This course moves beyond the tools and techniques of the first and focuses on areas critical to VM study leadership, program management and management interaction while preparing you for the CVS exam.
In this half-day seminar, we will cover the major processes, techniques and applications of value engineering. Practical examples will be provided in the areas of design, construction, manufacturing and business process improvement.

Learn how to define and measure performance, understand cost and performance as it relates to function, enhance the analysis of functions by targeting performance deficiencies, and more.
Topics covered range from introducing the basic concepts and techniques of risk management, developing an effective risk management framework, qualitatively and quantitatively analyzing risk, and more.

This more robust, two-day (16-hour) course will cover all facets of risk management that aid in enhancing value across all industries.
Topics will cover the use of proper elicitation techniques, developing three-point estimates for risks, risk modeling techniques, interpreting outputs from risk models, and modeling risk response strategies.

Emphasis is placed on helping learners become more proficient in the application of the Function Analysis System Technique, which is commonly referred to as FAST diagramming.
Major processes, techniques and applications will be covered in this course, and practical examples will be provided in the areas of design, construction, manufacturing and business process improvement.
