Strengthening Team Dynamics and Leadership at Valley Medical Center’s Respiratory Services Department

Overview

VMS’ Organizational Development (OD) team partnered with Valley Medical Center’s Respiratory Services Department to enhance the performance of their management group, aligning with departmental and hospital-wide objectives. The initiative aimed to foster team cohesion, establish norms, and improve communication strategies through targeted leadership development and teambuilding activities. Leveraging the Integrative 9 Enneagram assessment, the project delved into individual motivations and behaviors, providing participants with crucial insights into themselves and their colleagues. Following personalized 1:1 coaching sessions, VMS facilitated a comprehensive two-day in-person teambuilding workshop. This workshop encouraged the collaborative creation of team norms, agreements, and strategic practices, empowering the group to work together more effectively toward shared goals.
